Fee Policy

Service Fee Policy:

  1. Purpose: This policy outlines the fee structure for Makai. The fee is designed to cover the costs associated with providing the service and maintaining its high quality standards.

  2. Fees: The fee for users of Makai is 7% of the transaction amount, plus any applicable taxes and transaction fees. The fee for boat owners is also 7% of the transaction amount, plus any applicable taxes and transaction fees. These fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full before the service can be provided.

  3. Payment Terms: Payment can be made by credit or debit card. All payments must be received at the time of booking. Late payments may result in the suspension of service until payment is received.

  4. Refund Policy: There are no refunds for Makai. If the service is cancelled before it is provided, the fee will not be refunded.

  5. Responsibility for Damage or Cleaning Fees: The customer is responsible for any damage or cleaning fees incurred during the trip. If damages occur, the owner must provide photos and an estimate of the costs. Customers should always take pre-trip photos for their own documentation.   6. Changes to Fees: Makai reserves the right to change its fees at any time. If a fee change occurs, Makai will provide advance notice of the change to all customers.

  7. Responsibility for Fees: The customer is responsible for paying all fees associated with Makai, including taxes and transaction fees. If the customer is unable or unwilling to pay the fees, Makai reserves the right to discontinue service.
